Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael of Atlanta is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC). 
The GAC was established in 1904 and is one of the oldest accrediting agencies in the country. Hundreds of private and public schools in Georgia are accredited through the GAC.

Judaic Studies


Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael provides an intense seven days per week Judaic program. The primary focus of the Judaic curriculum is develop the skills necessary to learn Gemara independently. There are a variety of additional subjects covered such as Chumash, Navi, Halacha, and Mussar.
Over the years in yeshiva the talmidim are slowly exposed to independent and chavrusah learning to prepare them for future Bais Medrash study. Younger students are also paired with older ones during the week to review and reinforce what they have learned in class.
There are a many extra learning opportunities throughout the week. These special learning programs allow the students to expand their learning outside of classes. The addition topics covered include; Guard Your Tongue, Afternoon Amud Yomi, Hasmadah Contest, and Hilchos Yom Tov Review.
